The best way to improve our services is to listen to the people who use them. We know that over the coming years the number of people using community, mental health and learning disability services will increase, so it is vital that we hear the views of everyone using our services.
How are we involving patients, carers and families?
All the organisations involved are engaging with people who use services, carers and communities about Project Fusion. This is ongoing and we are always keen to hear from people or groups that we may not yet have reached. We have also set up a Working Group made up of community partners and colleagues from local Healthwatches to guide and oversee our engagement.

How are clinicians being involved?
A clinical transformation steering group has been set up and is led by senior clinicians from all the organisations involved. This brings together operational and clinical leads from across Solent NHS Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Isle of Wight NHS Trust and the CAMHS services provided by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Hampshire. The group’s focus is to support the clinical planning that will help improve the consistency of the care we provide and ensure everyone can access it equally.
We are also working with colleagues from other NHS Trusts in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and local authority partners, too.
